Joy Geer was first introduced to Aletheia in 2008 when her family moved to Peoria and enrolled their children here. She was privileged to teach science and Illinois history at Aletheia for several years, learning firsthand the difference that classical education makes to the mind and heart of a developing child. Joy is a pastor’s wife, mother to four adult children, and registered nurse in pediatrics, earning her BSN in 1990. She enjoys reading, crafts of all kinds but especially photography, volunteering with CASA, and working with the women’s and children’s ministries at her church.
